Why Use A Night Splint?

Night Splints are devices which are used during rest, which are designed to provide a mild but constant stretch of the Achilles Tendon and the Plantar Fascia of the Foot. Night Splints are used for people who suffer from inflammation of the Plantar Fascia or heel spur syndrome. They are also used following Achilles Tendon injuries or post surgery, to prevent contracture of the tendon. Many people who suffer from Plantar Fasciitis, have severe pain in the morning when they first get out of bed due to the contracture or tightening of the plantar fascia.
